 Bugs

  • OTG doesn’t work on this ROM, but we have a fix for it, you can install stock ROM, and the OTG will start working.
  • Heinz H Manhart

Installing KitKat (downgrad) after upgrade would not be a problem if…..
    a) After the OTA upgrade to Lolipoo, my USB is dead.
    b) Battery chargin can only be done with the phone completely off.
    c) because of a) i can not connect to the pc and have not access to the ROM at all

anyone had the same problem? I just can’t imaging Lenovo is realeasing a ROM with this kind of bug.

  • paul

Can we flash custom roms that are available? Or we can only use the Stock Rom that is inside the file?

    • Veer Amrit Singh

Yes you can flash custom roms after flashing this stock rom.

  • dush88gs

No swipe lags at all. I can promise it. Just follow the steps according to my previous reviews. Security app, Power saving mode and Everything is back. Dont flash stock rom, only flash given custom rom in the post above.

  • nameless

is there swipe lag after downgrade? any updates plss…

  • Dushan

Oh im really sorry guys, in previous post, its not “while pressing power up key” it shoud be “while pressing VOLUME UP key. Also i have to say dont ever try to flash original kitkat stock firmware after flashing this firmware. I have tried it and my touch experience was horrible. Provided firmware is very smooth and no lagging at all. OTG is not a big deal. I dont even try to find out whether it works or not.

  • Dushan

Yes… yes…. finally i made it. Thanks for all. As umer said, Definitely you cannot go forward with windows 10. you have to do the flash with windows 8 or 8.1 computer. maybe it will work on windows 7 too. Also after press download in sp flash tool, you need to connect your phone with switched off and you need to connect it to your computer while pressing power up key. then red bar on bottom of sp flash tool will be completed and release the power up key when it begins flashing. thats all. make sure you have installed the drivers before start. use this youtube link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fv03pIfnIEw to install drivers.(only for install drivers). also make sure to run sp flash tool as an administrator. you are all done. happy downgrading. I dont care about OTG. Thanks again all for the great tutorial. Umer is a life saver.

  • Alex Hunter

  • umer

    I’m now super happy…

    • Veer Amrit Singh

I’m in the process of reverting my Lenovo A5000 from Lollipop to Kitkat using this guide but the procedure mention in this guide is not 100% correct.

I first tried to do it using windows 10 but it did not worked and I’m now using windows 8.
Secondly, once I launch the flash_tool, and after selecting scatter file and related processing, nothing happened at all. I pressed the download button and waited 1 hour but nothing worked.

At this stage, you need to plug your phone in with your laptop, switch off the phone and then turn on phone while keeping the volume-up button pressed.
A new screen pops up with Japanese menu entries, I then selected the last entry (as it always be the exit menu) once I done that, the processing started …

right now 36% processing has completed. Let’s see if I brick phone or get a kitkat version. Fingers crossed. :)
