Moto G5S Plus users are getting frustrated with the release of Android Oreo update nowadays after Lenovo took over Motorola things have changed, Motorola used to give updates very quickly and it was very popular for their Android updates.
The device was launched in August 2017 and yet it is running on Android 7.1 Nougat with the security patch of February. Officially Motorola has not yet declared any OTA of Android Oreo for Moto G5S Plus but we expect it to be in April or after the launch of the G6 series.
Well, the users shouldn’t be dishearted for the non-release of the latest operating system on their devices because there is a solution to it. Yes, you can have Android Oreo on your Moto G5S Plus unofficially by installing custom ROM, we have previously posted few custom ROM’s based on Oreo 8.1 and they had minor or few bugs but they did the work perfectly. Before you proceed you must know that your device’s bootloader is locked and you need to unlock it which breaks the warranty. If you are fine with it then you can unlock the bootloader of your device and flash any custom ROM based on Oreo.

Moto G5S Plus Pixel Experience Oreo Custom ROM
One of the best custom ROM based on Oreo for Moto G5S Plus which I have personally come up with is the Pixel Experience that gives a very rich usage of Google Pixel’s Android operating system with the latest security patch and also passes the KRACK vulnerability which thus lets us use Snapchat and other e-wallet based applications.

You can download Pixel Live wallpapers and set it accordingly, but remember that due to the heavy file and being motion wallpaper it slows down the scrolling on your screen. Also, you can install them as normal apk files and the AR Stickers are very fun to use and they can be used while recording videos with the 3D characters which will make your Moto G5S Plus Pixel Experience very rich.
