Fans of WWE are a little upset about WWE 2k series not happening this year. The series has taken a year off. But there is a sigh of relief for the fans as 2K sports has announced a release for a new game.
This new game is called WWE 2k battlegrounds. The company is describing it to be an absolutely new experience of WWE gaming.
This new wrestling game would be an arcade style of game. The company developing it is Saber interactive. This company already has an experience of developing arcade style games. They are the ones who developed NBA 2K Playgrounds 2.
Talking about the characters in the wrestling game, 2K confirmed that popular wrestlers like Steve Austin and The rock would be featuring in the game. The game would have moves which are over the top. For gamers wanting to go deep into the game there is a lot of depth that the company is planning to put into it.
Details on the game will be out in the coming months. But the release date is out. This game will be launched in the coming fall season. Company said that their vision is to create a game which works for both wrestling games’ veterans and newcomers.
Another confirmation came from 2K about the mind behind the execution of the project. Experienced gaming brain Patrick Gilmore will be working on this project.
Talking about the simulation game WWE 2K21, company confirmed that it won’t be releasing this year. They said that they are working on feedback received for WWE 2K20 and are trying to focus more on fun and quality aspect.
