The Whitehouse gave a lot of thought to the fate of TikTok. In March, the use of TikTok was prohibited in any U. S Military device. Recently, after a lot of discussions, the President has decided to ban the app. TikTok and WeChat will be banned in the country if they aren’t bought out by their US counterparts in the next 45 days. There is talk of partial acquisition of TikTok by Microsoft.
Instagram has taken the chance and introduced its new feature called Reels, which is pretty similar to TikTok. Reels lets a person use music, and create videos with it, just like the app TikTok. However, Reels is not a new app. But a new feature on Instagram.
TikTok was one of the most downloaded apps last year, and the use of TikTok had increased since January this year. But because of security issues, many governments have banned TikTok. Recently, the Indian Government banned TikTok along with other apps like SHEIN, Club Factory, etc.
Instagram introduced the Reels feature in 50 countries, including the US, UK, Japan, and Australia, on both iOS and Android. The Reels feature lets you create short term videos, (15 seconds), using any popular music. And that is why people are now looking to buy Instagram Reels likes to get more popularity. One can share the Reels with family and friends in their profile or make it public.
Robby Stein, Instagram’s product director, said that while TikTok made short term video creating popular, Instagram is doing something different, it did not create a separate app. No two products are the same, and Instagram Reels is going to give Influencers more ammo to produce engaging content for their viewers.
