On top of Googling a business, people are now searching for it on Social media platforms. While Facebook has been used to support businesses, Instagram has become the new platform for influencers. Milou Sky, a band from Reading, Pennsylvania is using social media to its advantage.
It’s been only two years since the band was formed but now the band has a following of almost 100K followers on Instagram. They released their first EP called Compromise, last year in January. But due to the COVID-19 pandemic their plans and tours got cancelled. However, the band has stuck to social media.
The lead singer of the band, Ryan Beckett, shared that now there are no social gatherings, and it is hard to interact with fans. But social media is a medium to connect and interact with fans from over the world. He said that the members of the band are doing everything to interact with fans, from comments to live sessions, its been a huge help.
There are 4 band members in Milou Sky, Ryan Beckett is the lead singer and guitarist of the band, while his brother Zach Ninfo is the drummer. Liam Meadowcroft is on vocals and rhythm guitar, and Nolan Meadowcroft on bass. The four members of the band used to dislike each other but came together because of their same taste in music.
Milou Sky is all about classic 60s Rock, 90s grunge, and modern pop. Their music is a mix of all these genres. And they have attracted a fan base, ranging from middle aged rock lovers to teenagers.
