Lenovo has officially updated one of its devices Lenovo A6000 Lollipop 5.0.2 after a long wait but for the Indonesian users, but we have got the OTA image captured and created a CWM backup and also a flashable zip for it, you can even upgrade it.

You can update your Lenovo A6000 Lollipop 5.0.2 through restoring the CWM backup or flashing the zip which we have created. The wait for Lenovo A6000 Lollipop 5.0.2 update is finally over and now and you can upgrade your old version which is running on Kitkat 4.4.4. The best part is that you can flash or restore, which in both the ways are very easy for you and you can get the Lollipop update easily.

Lenovo has made us wait a long time to get the lollipop update and also the Lenovo A6000 Plus users do not have to worry about the Lollipop update because we’ll be creating the Lollipop 5.0.2 flashable zip for them as well. You can now enjoy the Lollipop and its full features by just following the guide and installing the same.

WARNING: Rooting or installing a custom rom or recovery might brick your device or your device may act abnormally and you also lose the device warranty. You may even get a dead SD card which might not work or you can leave your device in a dead state. Before going through the entire tutorial please be advised that it is your own responsibility to go further. We’re not liable for any loss of data or any property of yours by any mean.

Things Required Before Upgrading To Lollipop

  1. Lenovo A6000 Lollipop 5.0.2 update file – Download it from below
  2. CWM/TWRP recovery – Read the guide from here
  3. Backup your data (media files/contacts) Upgrading will delete everything from your device.

You don’t need to root your device to update it to lollipop. Just put the zip file on your SD card and then boot to recovery > install from SD Card. That’s it!

no you dont understand, u just cant flash the whole file u need to extract “system.zi” flash that then flash your country’s file like “india.ota.zip” and this isnt even the problem, you cant revert back to kitkat after this as u cant flash a custom recovery once u update.

Are you saying that if I update I can never I can never flash a custom recovery ever again and in that case I can never flash a custom ROM? And I will be stuck with Lollipop forever?

It doesn’t matters in my case. I flashed the entire zip. It worked and pretty much for others.

Yes true indeed the rom isn’t smooth at all. But if you remove the bloatwares and disable the unwanted google apps then you can get better performance.
